Set 3 consists of 16 different passages. This set includes passages for concepts 10-16 of the iDeaL Stage 1 Scope and Sequence.

• Concept 13 – Longer spelling after a short vowel sound ‘ck’
• Concept 14 – Double the consonant when adding a vowel suffix
• Concept 15 – Silent e
• Concept 16 – Long /ā/ sound: 'ai' and 'ay'
• Concept 17 – Long /ē/ sound: 'ea' and 'ee'
• Concept 18 – Long /o/ sound: 'oa' and 'ow'
